This is Sentralen
Sentralen is located in the heart of Oslo city center, and we are a versatile event and cultural center housed in the fantastic, historic premises of Christiania Sparebank.
Sparebankstiftelsen DnB owns us and the buildings. We are an administration of 20 full-time equivalents that operates Sentralen. The administration is divided into three teams working in sales and booking, production and events, and marketing and communication. We, in the administration, also serve as hosts, handling hosting and production tasks in daily operations.
Since 2016, we have rented out event venues, stages, halls, production rooms, rehearsal spaces, studios, podcast studios, a rooftop terrace, and several meeting rooms for all types of events and meetings. Anyone can rent our venues, and many of our tenants host public events. Some tenants receive reduced rates through our rental schemes. The program here at Sentralen is constantly updated with concerts, theater, festivals, and all sorts of other events. We host hundreds of events and activities for children and young people every year. Additionally, we organize conferences, Christmas parties, summer parties, weddings, and other similar events.
In 2025, we had just over 4,000 bookings, both large and small, for our venues.
We also offer co-working spaces for organizations working in cultural production and social innovation, spread across four floors.
Sentralenmat AS operates the cafe, restaurant Hitchhiker, and the rooftop terrace in the building. In addition, they provide catering for all events.
Sparebankstiftelsen DnB also has an office here at Sentralen.
