We want Sentralen to be an open, inclusive and accessible house for all, and we are therefore actively working to develop and improve our accessibility. Here you can read about the steps we take to make everyone feel confident that they can visit us.

General Availability
Admission
Sentralen's main entrance is located in Øvre Slottsgate 3. The nearest public transport stops are Stortinget for metro, Øvre Slottsgate for tram and Wessels plass for bus. There is a lift at Stortinget metro station (please note that building work at the station may affect accessibility). Some of the trams that stop on Øvre Slottsgate are wheelchair accessible. It is possible to stop outside the main entrance to Sentralen for unloading and loading. It is not possible to park outside Sentralen as the street is regulated as a pedestrian zone. We do not have parking spaces, but there are several parking spaces in the area. The nearest HC parking is at Tollbugata 27, 55 metres from the main entrance.
The front desk, café and Hitchhiker restaurant have step-free access via lift. To get to the reception you need to enter the main entrance in Øvre Slottsgate 3, and take the elevator to 1+. From here there is step-free access to the café. To get to the restaurant via lift, guests are required to have an access card, so please let us know at the front desk on floor +1 or call +4741417930 for assistance.
At the reception we have an elevator to all floors of the house.
Accessibility on the house
Sentralen is universally designed. It is possible to arrive at all audience areas in a wheelchair - however, some are more accessible than other. We have door opener to all audience areas, but these are not automatic. The main entrance has an automatic door opener.
The railing of the stairs is red, so that it is clearly visible to people with visual impairment.
All stairs are marked with knobs and slip tape, and all glass doors are marked with foil. The contrast of the foil and the glass door is not very high.
The floorboards on the house are relatively low, so it's possible to get over with a wheelchair.

Accessibility and facilities
Companion tickets
We strongly encourage all our organizers to offer companion tickets at their events. Purchase a ticket and send an email to post@sentralen.no with your companion certificate to receive your companion ticket(s). If you require multiple companions, you will receive one ticket per companion.
Restroom facilities
We have restrooms on all floors, including accessible toilets. The accessible toilets do not have automatic door openers. Changing tables are available in the accessible toilets on floors U, 1+, 3, and 4+.
Food and allergies
All food served by us, both in the café, restaurant, and at events, is marked with allergens. We cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur. Please contact us at mat@sentralen.no if you have any questions about our food service.
We do not have carpeted floors in our premises or public areas.
Safety
All emergency exits are marked with green emergency exit signs, and the fire alarm is connected to LED lights that will illuminate and show the way if the power goes out.
We do not have an evacuation chair.
The induction loops are connected to the fire alarm.
Induction Loop and Interpretation Services
We have a mobile induction loop system that can be used in all our premises. Click here to order interpretation services through Oslo Municipality.
Please inform us at booking@sentralen.no if you require interpretation services, as this needs to be clarified with the hall's capacity.
Lowered Bar/Counter
Part of the bar in Marmorsalen has a lowered bar counter.
Bar Vinterhagen does not have a lowered bar counter.
Content Warnings for Events
We are a house that consists of many different events and organizers, and therefore we do not always have an overview of content warnings for all events. We encourage all our organizers to submit information about content warnings so we can inform the public in our event program.
If you have questions about a specific event, we recommend contacting the relevant organizer. You can find the organizer at the bottom of the event program.
Guide Dog
Guide dogs are always welcome, including in our dining areas.
Taxi
The nearest taxi stand is at Bankplassen, 450m from Sentralen. We have screens in the reception where you can order a taxi and be picked up outside the main entrance.
Seating
We have seating in most of our audience areas, except for the cloakroom on floor U, the foyer to Marmorsalen on floor 1+, and outside the meeting rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Lighting
There is generally good lighting at the house, but there may be reduced lighting in some audience areas. This applies to Vinterhagen, the foyer outside Marmorsalen, and the foyer outside Forstanderskapssalen.
Acoustics
The venue generally has good acoustics. However, the public areas outside Marmorsalen, including the Marble Staircase, as well as the foyer outside Forstanderskapssalen and Gullbaren, have less optimal acoustics than the other areas of the building.
Language
Most of our events are held in Norwegian, unless otherwise specified. Do you want information about interpretation services? See the section «hearing loop and interpretation services».

RELÆXT Events
In collaboration with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, we organize RELÆXT concerts. The concerts are hush-free and take place in Marmorsalen. They last 45-60 minutes, including an introduction and presentation of the pieces by the host.
Everyone can be an audience member at a RELÆXT event, but the experiences are especially adapted for those who are more comfortable attending, or need, a cultural experience in relaxed surroundings.

Marmorsalen is located on floor 1+ and has step-free access via lift from the main entrance.
We have sound-absorbing carpets in Marmorsalen.
Part of the bar in the Marmorsalen has a sunken bar counter.
The nearest HC toilet is located on the same floor, at the side stage or in Vinterhagen. The toilet in Vinterhagen is equiupped a changing table.
The acoustics and lighting in the foyer outside Marmorsalen are not optimal.
Hvelvet
It is possible to get to Hvelvet by wheelchair, but access is not as smooth compared to our other venues.
Hvelvet is located on the first floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator. From the main entrance you need to take the elevator to the 3rd floor and then the rear elevator to the 2nd floor. Then you have to go through the backstage Biblioteket to get to the venue.
There is a large toilet on the 2nd floor right off backstage, but this is not an HC toilet. To get to the nearest HC toilet, you has to take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and past meeting rooms 301-304. This toilet also has a changing table.
Forstanderskapssalen
Forstanderskapssalen is located on the 3rd floor and has step-free access via elevator from the main entrance.
There are accessible restrooms with changing tables on the same floor near Forstanderskapssalen.
The acoustics and lighting in the foyer outside Forstanderskapssalen are not optimal.
Gymsalen
Gymsalen is located on floor 4+ and has step-free access via elevator from the main entrance.
Just inside the entrance to Gymsalen, there is an amphitheater equipped with a lift for wheelchair users.
There is a nearby accessible restroom on the same floor, which also includes a changing table.
Rooftop terrace Kron & Mynt
The lower level is located on the 5th floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance.
The upper level is located on the 6th floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance.
To get from one level to the other in a wheelchair, you have to take the elevator inside the building.
The rooftop terrace has a nearby HC toilet on the 5th floor.
Kronesalen
Kronesalen is located on the 5th floor and is wheelchair accessible via lift from the main entrance. From the elevator on the 5th floor you have to go over the roof terrace to get to Kronesalen. Access over the roof terrace is always kept free of obstacles, including snow in winter.
Kronesalen has a nearby HC toilet on the same floor. You have to cross the rooftop terracce to get to it.
Restaurant Hitchhiker
The restaurant is located on the 1st floor and has step-free access via elevator from the main entrance.
An access card is required to use the elevator to the 1st floor, so please notify the reception on floor +1 or call +47 41 41 79 30 for assistance.
In spring and summer, the entrance at the corner of Tollbugata and Øvre Slottsgate is open. This entrance has step-free access from street level.
The nearest accessible restroom is located in Vinterhagen on floor 1+. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Vinterhagen
Vinterhagen is located on floor 1+ and is accessible by lift from the main entrance.
In Vinterhagen you will find an HC toilet with changing table.
This is the old backyard between the houses in Øvre Slottsgate 3 and Tollbugata 30 - therefore there is somewhat reduced lighting here.
Produksjonsrom 1
Produksjonsrom 1 is located on floor 4+ and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance.
P1 has nearby HC toilet on the same floor. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Studio A
Studio A is located on the U floor and is accessible by lift from both the main entrance and Akersgata. If you come from the main entrance you need to have a key card, so let us know at the reception in 1+ or call +4741417930 and we will help you.
Studio A has an HC toilet on the same floor, next to the cloakroom This toilet also has a changing table.
Produksjonsrom 3
Produksjonsrom 3 is located on floor 4+ and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance.
P3 has nearby HC toilet on the same floor. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Direktørrommet
Direktørrommet is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible by wheelchair from the main entrance via elevator.
There is a nearby accessible restroom on the same floor, which also includes a changing table.
Meeting room Direktørrommet
Direktørrommet is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible from the main entrance by wheelchair via lift.
Direktørrommet has nearby HC toilet on the same floor. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Gullbaren
Gullbaren is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible by wheelchair from the main entrance via elevator.
There is a nearby accessible restroom on the same floor, which also includes a changing table.
The acoustics and lighting in the foyer outside Gullbaren are not optimal.
Meeting room Dronningen
Meeting room Dronningen is located on the 2nd floor and is wheelchair accessible via lift. From the main entrance you need to take the elevator to the 3rd floor and then the rear elevator to the 2nd floor.
There is a large toilet on the 2nd floor right outside the meeting room, but this is not an HC toilet. To get to the nearest HC toilet, you need to take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and past meeting rooms 301-304. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Meeting room Bankboksen
Bankboksen is located on floor 1+. Take the elevator from the main entrance to 1+, and walk through the reception and Vinterhagen.
Bankboksen has a nearby HC toilet in Vinterhagen. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Meeting room 300
Meeting room 300 is located on the third floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance. The meeting room is located in close proximity to the elevator.
The meeting room has nearby toilets located right next to the lift. There is also an available HC toilet on the same floor, but this is located through the foyer and Gullhallen. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Meeting room Biblioteket
Meeting room Biblioteket is located on the 2nd floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator. From the main entrance you need to take the elevator to the 3rd floor and then the rear elevator to the 2nd floor.
There is a large toilet on the 2nd floor right outside the meeting room, but this is not an HC toilet. To get to the nearest HC toilet, you need to take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and past meeting rooms 301-304. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Meeting room 202
Meeting room 202 is located on the second floor and is wheelchair accessible via elevator from the main entrance.
The nearest HC toilet is located on floor 1+ in Vinterhagen. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Meeting room 304
Meeting room 304 is located on the 3rd floor and is wheelchair accessible via lift from the main entrance.

Meeting rooms 200, 201, 203 and 204 are located on the second floor and are wheelchair accessible via lift from the main entrance.

The meeting rooms do not have access to the HC toilet on the same floor. The nearest HC toilet with stairless access is via the elevator to floor 4+. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Meeting room 200
Meeting rooms 200, 201, 203 and 204 are located on the second floor and are wheelchair accessible via lift from the main entrance.
The nearest HC toilet is located on floor 1+ in Vinterhagen. This toilet is equipped with a changing table.
Studio B - Podcaststudio

Sentralen Kafé
The café is located on level 1+ and offers step-free access from the corner entrance or via the main entrance in Øvre Slottsgate.
There is no lowered bar counter in the café.

Gullhallen
Gullhallen is located on the third floor and is accessible from the main entrance by wheelchair via elevator.
