At Sentralen, we offer flexible spaces for music, dance, and performing arts.

Our spaces are suitable for you if you are:

• soloists who need a quiet room with good acoustics
• part of a choir, ensemble, or band
• part of a theatre or dance company

Here are our spaces and their prices

We have several spaces suitable for rehearsals, practices, and pre-productions. All rooms are designed with excellent acoustic conditions in mind. This provides both musicians and performing artists with a professional environment to develop in. The rooms can be easily adapted for rehearsals, try-outs, or preparatory work for productions and can accommodate anywhere from 1 to 40 participants.

Studio A

• large room with high ceilings
• possibility of a control room (Studio B) for sound and lighting
• space for up to 1-20 participants
• ‍NOK 400/hour (excl. VAT)

Gymsalen

• Airy room with floor-to-ceiling mirrors
• Option for dance mats
• Space for up to 1-40 participants
• ‍500,-/hour (excl. VAT)

P1 (Produksjonsrom 1)

• Large windows and natural light
• Steinway C grand piano (free without tuning)
• Space for up to 1-40 participants
• ‍450,-/hour (excl. VAT)

P3 (Produksjonsrom 3)

• Upright piano (free without tuning)
• No microphone available
• Space for up to 1-10 participants
• 210,-/hour (excl. VAT)

Included in the rental

• sound system with AUX connection
• free Wi-Fi
• projector and screen
• PC audio connection
• furniture/music stands/chairs can be borrowed from storage
• two microphones (wireless or headset) (P3 does not have a microphone) 
• piano or grand piano (P1 and P3)

Important to know before renting

• you must bring your own backline
• technicians are not included (can be booked)
• equipment cannot be stored at Sentralen
• if you require tuning of the grand piano and piano, this will be an additional cost
• electric piano (can be ordered)
• we do not have any parking spaces associated with Sentralen

Additional equipment and services available

Price per day, excl. VAT

• Sound engineer (8 h): 7,400,-
• Lighting engineer (8 h): 7,400,-
• Sound + lighting (8 h): 12,400,-
• Piano incl. tuning: 3,800,-
• Grand piano incl. tuning: 5,300,-
• Electric piano: 600,-

Deadline: Technician must be booked at least 8 weeks in advance.
Note: All prices + 25% VAT (with some exceptions).

Sentralen is located at Øvre Slottsgate 3. You can get here by public transport:

• tram: the nearest tram stop is Øvre Slottsgate
• bus: the nearest bus stop is Kvadraturen/Wessels plass
• metro: the nearest metro station is Stortinget. All metro lines stop at Stortinget.

We have bicycle parking right by the entrance
