Will you have your wedding ceremony at Oslo City Hall? We are only an 8 minute walk away.

Our building is centrally located in central Oslo, between Egertorget and Akershus Fortress. You can arrive in style, whether it's in a fancy car, via the metro to Stortinget Metro Station (which is only a minute away) or walking.

With us you can gather your guests for an unforgettable wedding party — with dinner, photography, dancing and maybe a wedding ceremony, all in the same place. We have several different premises for you to choose from, both formal premises with a formal atmosphere and modern premises that create a relaxed city party with a view over the rooftops around the building.

We offer two wedding packages that make planning easy, and one of our producers will help you plan your wedding.

We have several different rooms suitable for weddings of different sizes.

Marmorsalen is our largest venue

Marmorsalen is the bank's old expedition room on the ground floor. It was here that customers put deposits in the bank, and withdrew money. Here we have retained the original stone floor, the impressive marble interior and the glass pyramid on the ceiling. The marble hall also has its own bar at the back of the room, and has an area of 550 m2.

In this hall you can arrange a grand celebration for up to 400 guests seated at long tables, or 230 people seated at round tables.

Forstanderskapssalen has the most historic interior

Forstanderskapssalen was the bank executives' old meeting room on the third floor. Guests can arrive at the venue by walking up the impressive marble staircase, past the old vault doors. Forstanderskapssalen has classic wood panelling on the walls, gorgeous chandeliers and large arched windows. Just outside the room is our elegant bar — Gullbaren. At Gullbaren, an aperitif can be served before dinner, or the bar can be open during the party.

Forstanderskapssalen is an elegant venue for wedding parties for up to 100 people seated at long tables, or 80 people seated at round tables. If you want horse shoe as a setup, there is room for 38 people.

Kronesalen is a bright and modern next the roof terrace

Kronesalen is a bright and modern room with large skylights that provide plenty of daylight, and views up into the starry sky, and specially made light domes from Magnor Glassverk hanging from the ceiling. This is one of our newest premises, with our roof terrace right outside. If you wish, you can rent the roof terrace in addition to Kronesalen. For example, guests can have an aperitif on the roof terrace, or you can choose to hold the wedding ceremony there.

The rooftop terrace is urban and warm with a vibe reminiscent of New York's rooftop terraces, with flowers, trees, terracotta-colored concrete and brick-plastered walls.

In Kronesalen there is room for 96 people seated at long tables, and 84 people seated at round tables.

On the roof terrace there is room for up to 150 standing people.

Hvelvet is our most unique venue

Hvelvet is our most unique venue. If you want a different setting around the celebration, you can make the wedding party very special by celebrating in Christiania Sparebank's old bank vault! During the renovation of the building, we chose to keep the old, thick vault doors into the venue and the original staircase and messanin inside Hvelvet.

Hvelvet is an intimate space for up to 50 guests seated at long tables, 40 guests at round tables or 22 guests in horseshoes.

The most popular months for weddings are May, June, August and September. But of course we accept wedding bookings all year round!

If you want to see the different premises, we welcome you to a free tour. This must be agreed in advance so that we can be sure that the premises are available on the day you wish to see.

Choose one of our wedding packages

You can choose from two different wedding packages, both of which include everything you need for a successful celebration.

Below you will see what is included in the two different packages and what you can add extra.

Planning and execution of the wedding

If you choose to rent a room with us, one of our producers will plan the wedding together with you. If you want to use a wedding planner, this is of course not a problem.

No matter what kind of theme you want for your wedding party, you are welcome to decorate just the way you want with us! Our lighting technicians can illuminate the hall exactly as you wish, and you can choose to use our furniture, or rent your own.

The host and waiters are on hand to help you on the day. All weddings with us have an associated host, who is responsible for the wedding on the day.

We will invoice the total amount in the aftermath of the wedding.

With us you can have a wedding ceremony, a photo shoot and a wedding party in the same place

Would you like to hold the wedding ceremony in our buildingas well? Several couples have conducted their wedding ceremony on the roof terrace, in Vinterhagen or in Gullhallen.

Several of the areas in our building are also perfect for wedding photography. Both Marmortrappen, the facade, the special staircase from Vinterhagen and the roof terrace are perfect backdrops for the photos of the big day.

Give guests an impressive wedding dinner

We have bars, a café, the Hitchhiker restaurant and the rooftop terrace at Sentralen. All of them are operated by the company Sentralenmat AS, part of EIK & Friends. It is Sentralenmat AS that is responsible for all food and drink serving for all weddings at Sentralen.

Sentralenmat puts together menus with the best ingredients of the season, serving guests either a 3- or 4-course dinner depending on the wedding package you choose. The package can also include canapes for guests when they arrive, night food or coffee avec.

You can also try the wedding dinner if you wish.

Guests can contribute to the cake table

Are any of the guests going to bake cakes for the party?

We store the cakes in our fridges before the wedding so guests who wish can deliver these ahead of time. We can also set up a table for the cakes brought in.

Accommodation and parking

We have several hotels as our nearest neighbor. We are also so centrally located in central Oslo, that both you and your guests have hundreds of nearby hotels to choose from.

The nearest parking garage is a few blocks away, for guests who wish to arrive by car and need parking.

Ofte stilte spørsmål

Is it allowed to bring food and drinks to my event or party?

No, it is not allowed to bring food and drinks with you to your event or party. There is an exception for cakes for weddings, graduations etc.

Do you have any chairs and tables other than the ones you see in the pictures?

No, we do not have other chairs and tables apart from those shown in the pictures. There are different chairs and tables in some venues and rooms.

These can sometimes be used, but it is subject to the room not being in use. It is possible to rent additional chairs and tables from rental companies, who can deliver them to Sentralen.

Do you have candlesticks?

No, we do not have candlesticks that can be used when renting a room. When the caterer set the table for dinner, they use standard white candles in glass containers.

What do I do if I have technical questions?

If you have technical questions, you can ask the booking team in the booking process, or the producer in the planning process. You can also read our tech specs.

Is candle lights allowed?

Yes, it is allowed to have candlelights, but under controlled conditions. All tenants and organizers must make sure that the candlelights does not pose a fire hazard.

Do you decorate the venue, can you decorate for me, or do you have decorations?

We do not decorate the venue for your event or party. We can help you decorate, but then you need to book event hosts to help you with this. We do not have decorations that can be used for the event or party, you must bring this yourself.

Can I rent an extra room?

Yes, it is possible to rent an additional room, such as a meeting room. For example, the room can be used for children who need a nap, storage of gifts, photographers who will edit photos etc.

Can I drop off equipment, decorations or anything else before the get-in for the event - or pick something up after the get-out?

It is possible to deliver something in advance or pick it up afterwards, but this must be arranged in advance.
