Direktørrommet is a classic and elegant room with historical details.
This was originally the bank manager's office, something of which the room bears its mark. Although the room has been refurbished, several elements of the old office have been retained. Direktørrommet features large arched windows, original diagonal checkered parquet, stucco and rosette. The bright green color of the walls is also original, from the time the room served as the Director's Office. The chandelier on the ceiling used to hang in the bank, and has been restored.
The historical details make the room stately and traditional, but it is also functional, with modern furniture and equipment.
The room can be rigged in several layouts, and has a convenient serving bench along one wall. The standard boardroom layout consists of 6 tables, which can be easily divided as group tables for up to 6 people per table.
Round tables are rigged to corporations. Meetings and seminars who want round tables can get this for an additional cost.
There is an entrance to Direktørrommet from both the Forstanderskapssalen and from Gullhallen.

Direktørrommet can be rented as part of package rates that include food and drinks for breakfast meetings, day events, dinner events, all-day events and weddings.

Direktørrommet is located on the 3rd floor and is accessible by wheelchair from the main entrance via elevator.
There is a nearby accessible restroom on the same floor, which also includes a changing table.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have parking?
No, we don't have parking spaces available at Sentralen. The nearest parking garages are the Palèet and Bankplassen. There is no street parking in the streets around Sentralen. Øvre Slottsgate, where the main entrance to Sentralen is located, is a pedestrian street.
Do you have candlesticks?
No, we do not have candlesticks that can be used when renting a room. When the caterer set the table for dinner, they use standard white candles in glass containers.
Is candle lights allowed?
Yes, it is allowed to have candlelights, but under controlled conditions. All tenants and organizers must make sure that the candlelights does not pose a fire hazard.
Can guests bring cakes?
Yes, guests can bring cakes. These can be delivered the day before, and will be placed in the fridge. Howewer: you need to arrange this with your producer beforehand.
What do I do if I have technical questions?
If you have technical questions, you can ask the booking team in the booking process, or the producer in the planning process. You can also read our tech specs.

Do you decorate the venue, can you decorate for me, or do you have decorations?
We do not decorate the venue for your event or party. We can help you decorate, but then you need to book event hosts to help you with this. We do not have decorations that can be used for the event or party, you must bring this yourself.
Do you have any chairs and tables other than the ones you see in the pictures?
No, we do not have other chairs and tables apart from those shown in the pictures. There are different chairs and tables in some venues and rooms.
These can sometimes be used, but it is subject to the room not being in use. It is possible to rent additional chairs and tables from rental companies, who can deliver them to Sentralen.
Is it allowed to bring food and drinks to my event or party?
No, it is not allowed to bring food and drinks with you to your event or party. There is an exception for cakes for weddings, graduations etc.
Can I drop off equipment, decorations or anything else before the get-in for the event - or pick something up after the get-out?
It is possible to deliver something in advance or pick it up afterwards, but this must be arranged in advance.

This package includes:
The streaming package includes everything you need to stream or record an event, such as panel talks, simple conferences or small performances.
The streaming technician sets up two Panasonic AQ-CX10 4k cameras cameras that will stand in fixed positions.
The audio engineer ensures that there is a high quality of the audio of the streaming.
Lighting technician ensures proper lighting.
The package includes
- dispose of all necessary technical equipment

- sound technician
- lighting technician
- up to 5 hours streaming on the desired platform (such as Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, website) and/or recording
- room rental comes in addition to the package price

Sentralen provides space for ideas, interaction and good experiences.
Sentralen is a versatile event house in Kvadraturen in central Oslo. The house consists of two buildings that were originally the head office of Christiania Sparebank. On six floors of historic premises, we rent out event rooms, production rooms and meeting rooms for all purposes.
Sentralen is owned by Sparebankstiftelsen DNB. Sentralen will contribute to supporting the Sparebank Foundation's vision to trigger good forces, through events and favourable rental prices for tenants that fit under the purposes of cultural production and social innovation.
